Charl has now been body painting for over 11 years.

He tends to use Kryolan's Aqua body paint, which is an excellent product and particularly good for creating a durable, easy-to-apply base. He always use liquid body paint for speed of application.

As an artist Charl feels privileged to create artworks on human skin. Having started out working on motorbikes and cold hard walls, he has developed his techniques.  Painting on skin is quite different in many ways. Charl also enjoys the interaction with the model and feels that each painting is as unique as the person he is painting.

Charl is proud to be the only artist in South Africa to be registered with the World Body Paint Association.
