Spirit of Togetherness

Ubuntu children’s choir was established in 2003 - the name “ubuntu” simply means humanity.  The philosophy is to revive the spirit of togetherness and to promote the human values eg. Love, Respect and Trust by saying, no to drugs and children abuse.  They have performed at many corporate functions and weddings in Cape Town.  These minor kids are raised by single parents working as domestic workers.  They are coming from the disadvantaged community of Strand - Lwandle, Zola and Nomzamo location.  Their ages are between 8 & 14 years.

The rehearsal venue is in a small shack which doesn’t allow them to do their creative artistic work, but a situation like that doesn’t stop their positive mission and objectives of promoting the spirit of ubuntu via their musical talents.

Their concert programs are about the spirit of happiness and the moods of sadness.  The audiences are always happy with their performance.
