Khayelitsha United Mambazo Choir

This fabulous Male group was formed in 1991 and since then, they have taken both South Africa and Europe by storm. Based in the local community called Khayelitsha in Cape Town, the group works professionally and also registered as a non profit organisation. The group has produced 4 albums -  ijubane, nguwe lo ushatayo, siqoqe thina and their personal  favourite which was recorded in Holland in 2012. In 2007 the group was invited to perfom in Brazil and Europe where they were received with standing ovations. In 2009 the group was again invited to Holland where they spent 8 months on tour which was very successful.  The group have been asked to tour Europe in 2014 by popular demand. The group’s aims and objectives are to uplift the standard of isicathamiya music both nationally and internationally.
