Warm Days label head QB Smith (aka Qhawe la Bantu), DJ, producer and song writer, QB has been DJing for over twenty years, and producing almost as long. Launched the Warm Days label and artist collective in a collaboration with broken beat and future-jazz pioneer MdCL aka Mark de Clive Lowe. Ever since, QB has been working with and remixing people like Atjazz, Ralf Gum, Monique Bingham, Mi Casa, and playing at South Africa’s deepest house music events.

As a composer and song writer, QB’s songs have become local hits, with previous Warm Days single Selfish Skies an enduring fixture on South African airwaves.
DJ wise, QB can be found monthly at his Warm Days residency sessions at the Sunnyside deep house mecca House 22, as well as appearing at various venues around the country and beyond the borders.
Production wise QB is recording multiple projects bridging jazz and deep house, including producing Khensy’s upcoming album - the Sowetan singer known all over the world for singing the South African house classic Hiya Kiya produced by then duo Kentphonik – and remixing everyone from Mi Casa, to Masa Sextet.
In between remixes and singles and appearances for House Afrika and Soul Candi, expect an unmixed CD of QB productions before year end 2012.
